Another great blog down for the count!

It saddens me to see yet another great blog deleted due to an employer. Apparently, there is no safe way to express ones self in this world. The business fucktards of this world would truely like to see a homoginized population. One that is void of true personal expression and fact. We all know that this idealized perception is false. That is why we have readership.

There are ways around this in regards to our blogs.

Don't use your real name, ever.
Stop telling your co-workers about your blogs. Even if you think they are your friend.
Get rid of personal pictures of yourself and your family members on your blog.
Change names and situations that you want to write about. You can still bitch about your issues without being overtly obvious.

I know we are all making friends through our blogs. Save your personal info for the email. Make sure that your blog buddy understands that they are never to devulge your name, status, and whatever else you want to stay hidden via their blogs. Always ask permission before forwarding another bloggers info to others.

You will notice that I have very few pictures of myself on this blog...One, I think. No one knows my husbands name, or his profession. My real name isn't anywhere on a post. I have one pic of my kid, which I most likely will remove, and his name is never mentioned.

Please be safe. I like you all and hate to have to see you go.

This ones for you Dullard! I will miss you very much! Please stay in contact.

May name and picture is all over my place, but then, I work for myself, and I'm not about to fire myself...unless I keep showing up late...

Fucking lazy ass me. ;)

I don't use my real name, I save it for e mails. If anyone that knew me came across this blog, they would know me from my blog name. I do have some photos, up, but none of my youngest daughter. I don't have a job, either, so I really don't have any worries as far as thatis concerned.
Still it pisses me off that Big Brother is everywhere and free speech seems to ba thing of the past.

I am also self employeed (and go to work late...). I really have nothing to lose, per se. I do leave things out to protect my family. I wish I didn't have to censor, but as mentioned, most companies are paranoid of negative exposure. Even though I am self employeed, I never tell my clients about my blog, or at least the name or addy of it. I am sure there are somethings that I write that may offend the more conservative client.

Damn, I am still bummed about Dullard.

yeah..i'm bummed over it too..

I put me me me in my blog, but well..i do get pissed at myself..but i'd never fire such a valuable employee..
and even if i had a real employer ..i still would blog..I swear i'd starve to death and spend every dime i had and take it to fucking court..

but then I'm a psycho..
poor dullard..

I suppose this was bound to hit us. This is 3 of us bloggers now! Good guidelines Camie Vog! We need to become fiction writers, only keep it a well hidden secret we aren't writing fiction! I think there are a lot of employers spending too much time on blogs, huh! I know blogging at work can be traced....I'd still like to know how my cover was blown!

your blog is supposed to be a personal place for you and your friends to air your thoughts and feelings, that is so wrong for dullard sorry dull. Thanks for the warning.

Wow..that really blows. What happened?

I use my real name but I've got my art up. It would be weird to put post my work without my name I think. Maybe I shouldn't. Hmmmm.

Fuck! I stop checking blogs for a couple if days and boom! Did any of y'all know Melanie the bloody Tooth Licker? Her blog has gone too. Trouble in Shangri La had t move sites too. :( Sucks, really sucks. Totally fucking bullshit. If you're not slagging off your employer directly who gives a fuck? I'm easy to find cos my lablit stuff, but I don't say bad things about my employer...still...scary situation...

i was warned about this problem when i first started blogging. we are supposed to have freedom of speech so what is going wrong!

I use my real name, and the real names of my husband and kid. I post our pictures, but that's just because I don't give a rat's ass if my employer finds out. I do keep the name of my employer private, and one of my co-workers has seen my blog, but as I said before, I don't care.

Truth be told, if someone really, really wants to find you, they will. Besides, my funny Suburbia frusterations and adventures wouldn't be as amusing if I couldn't personalize them. Then again, we all have to make decisions based on our own comfort levels, and unfortunately not everyone can be who they are without some asshole interfering.

Thats a good name for my next blog.

The 'clucking phoenix' maybe?

Work did not know about my blog, the IT people found it!

I had to shut it I called my manager a fat pig on an earlier posting and also my rants about my work wouldnt have helped.

Still, cant keep me at bay for long.

AC's not about for a while - hope he's ok. Dusty's gone - her blogs got a bizzare link now to The Mayor of Simpleton?! Now RD bites the dust.

I'm gettin' angry. My employer knows I blog n I know they check it out. They also know I don't give a fuck. They ever try n shut me down I'll cheerfully lose me job. Not for keepin' goin' but for thumpin' the shits!!

This may sound a bit cynical and assholic, but your co-workers are NEVER your friends. Their picture belongs on the wall with a plaque reading "Most Likely To Knife Me In The Back."

Not that I'm bitter or anything. It may take a few times, but eventually, the trust in humanity does get beaten out of a person.

Good advice. I really need to follow it more!!

Our company was offered the oppurtunity to buy a small blogging business. The boss didn't have the foggiest what a blog was! Unfortunately he does now, hence I have removed personal references :-(

The RD news does suck, but I'm sure it's temporary. I stay fairly anonymous. I haven't intentionally told anyone who I work with or for. Have considered it at times. Not yet, though. The time's not quite right.
